I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a certification in School Social Work and a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and families in navigating life’s challenges and building resilience. Currently serving at Victory Family Counseling , I bring a blend of clinical training and school-based experience to my work, allowing me to understand the unique needs of young people both in therapeutic and academic settings. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive, as I firmly believe that each child and family holds inherent strengths that can be nurtured and built upon throughout the therapeutic process. I utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-CenteredTherapy, and Motivational Interviewing strategies, tailoring interventions to meet the individual needs of each client. In my work with children and adolescents, I support those experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, adjustment difficulties, identity development challenges, and self-esteem concerns, while also providing guidance for families working through parenting stress, communication struggles, and transitions. My therapeutic practice is grounded in a family-systems perspective that honors the importance of caregivers, relationships, and community in shaping a young person’s mental health and overall well-being. As an African American woman and clinician, I am particularly committed to serving African American minorities and historically marginalized populations, offering care that is affirming, culturally sensitive, and accessible. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space where clients feel valued, heard, and understood as they work through difficult emotions, experiences, and life transitions. In addition to individual and family therapy, I have experience facilitating group sessions, leading social-emotional learning curriculum in school settings, and collaborating with educators to address behavioral and academic concerns. This dual background in both clinical and educational practice enables me to see the whole picture of what children and families face on a daily basis and to provide comprehensive, wraparound support. I believe in therapy as a collaborative journey where I walk alongside my clients with compassion, empathy, and practical tools, encouraging them to recognize their own resilience, embrace their strengths, and gain confidence in their ability to thrive. At the heart of my work is a commitment to hope and healing, I aim to empower children, adolescents, and families to not only overcome challenges but to build meaningful connections, nurture self-confidence, and create pathways to long-term well-being and success.
