I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced sexual abuse, relationship abuse, and other forms of interpersonal trauma. Many of the young people I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed, confused by their reactions, and unsure how to understand the changes they notice in themselves following trauma. They may struggle with anxiety, emotional shutdown, difficulty trusting others, or feeling unsafe in their own bodies. Trauma can also impact a child or teen’s ability to engage in school, relationships, and age-appropriate activities, often leading to isolation and a sense of being “different” from their peers.

I also work with adolescents and adults who are seeking to heal the effects of childhood trauma, including growing up in abusive or dysfunctional family systems. These early experiences can significantly shape emotional development, self-concept, and relational patterns. My work focuses on helping clients make sense of these experiences in a developmentally appropriate way while strengthening emotional regulation, self-compassion, and a sense of safety and agency.

I am a licensed therapist with experience treating trauma and complex mental health concerns across a range of clinical settings, including PHP and IOP levels of care. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress, and I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) alongside DBT- and CBT-informed interventions. I place strong emphasis on stabilization and skill-building, supporting clients in developing coping strategies that improve daily functioning and prepare them for trauma reprocessing when clinically appropriate. I also have training in yoga-informed approaches, which supports a body-based, trauma-informed lens.

I understand how vulnerable the counseling process can feel for children and adolescents who have experienced abuse. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where young clients can move at their own pace, feel emotionally held, and begin to rebuild trust in themselves and others. I welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss whether my approach would be a good fit for the clients you serve.
