Barbara Martin, MS, LCMHC, QS, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor with two decades of experience across inpatient, outpatient, and crisis settings in hospitals, schools, and community-based programs as a therapist. She sits on various boards and committees locally and nationally related to Cancer and Mental Health Advocacy.

Barbara has a special interest in advocacy (mental health and cancer advocacy), managing crises, suicide prevention, and working with individuals who have experienced grief/loss and traumatic events. Barbara is an EMDR trained therapist, and is currently in training for TF CBT through the NC Child treatment Collaborative. She holds current facilitator certificates in the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), Question Persuade Refer (QPR), Loved Ones (a group for families of sexual abuse/assault survivors) and Youth, Adult, and Teen Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA). Barbara believes that everyone deserves the same access to services. She feels it is important to meet everyone with the same level of genuine concern and empathy.
